Hi. I’m a creative person who is constantly inspired by nature – whether it’s the way the sunlight wraps around the side of a tree or the subtlety of color on the petals of a flower. It’s all amazing to me and I’m driven to record it all. (I currently have 46,500+ photos on my iPhone so I am well on my way to that goal!).
Born and raised in Connecticut, I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UConn. During my studies, I had a wonderful time exploring the world of various studio art disciplines. My professors encouraged me to observe the world around me, interpret it through my lens of sensitivity, and then let it pour out. Basically, I learned to think analytically while staying creative through photography, printmaking, ceramics, illustration, sculpture, and painting, to name a few. I was moved by the process of figuring “it” out, whatever “it” turned out to be. My chosen career path quickly became graphic design, as I fell in love with typography, concepting and layout.
After putting my art practice on hold for several years to raise my children, I am now pursuing the dream of creating once again. Woohoo!! It feels great to be back in the swing of things. I have in-person workshops available and commissions have been keeping me busy. I mainly work in soft pastel and watercolors with some mixed media embellishments. I love to challenge myself by taking workshops, studying the legends of art history (Monet, Cassatt and Degas) and staying current on social media.
I look forward to where this exciting new journey will take me and glad you are here!
