I’m allowing January to be a month of slow mornings. To linger. To dream. To draw. To explore quietly. It’s the quiet I crave at this time of year.

Seed pod studies continuing this morning. When you have little time grab two things, a charcoal pencil and a sketchbook. And just make a line, then another and keep it going for 15 minutes. Today I focused on the shapes with lines and values. It&rsqu

Seed pods have such interesting shapes as they twist and turn around their resident branches. Birds flit in and out feeding on the pods as I watch. Sometimes a curious squirrel will come around seeking what is available for food. #happydrawing #botan
