I loved playing with these drawing oils from @rfpaints yesterday. They layered, smudged and drew like butter. You can scrape away and draw over the oily surface with graphite and charcoal. They were a dream to create with and thoroughly enjoyed sketc

Being captivated by the trees has been a lifelong love. As kids we climbed them, played hide and seek among them and what I mostly remember is  their scent and the pine sap on my hands. It was the most fun and those were good days.

Well this was a fun surprise. Working from a photo as reference and choosing colors that I felt explained the moment. A visual diary of sorts. It was a beautiful breezy autumn day with lots of movement and scents of pine and leaves.

Skeleton Trees dot the landscape all around us. It’s that season of transition from late fall to early winter. The woods are busy with squirrels, bear, skunks and opossums foraging for food.
