Continuing with my ‘No wasted paint’ initiative and collaging with my leftover painted paper palette sheets on a randomly painted page. The results are cohesive since these were done with the same colors last week. Just a fun way to recyc
2x2” squares of partially peeled cardboard. Using left over paint from yesterday’s trees. They remind me of tiny landscapes. No plans what to do with these but paint on my hands is always a good day!!
I’m fascinated by trees. It’s interesting to observe the play of light in the intervals of trees trunks. So today I’m exploring that through colors and textures. Using my photos for reference and some watercolor sketches.

This is a teeny tiny 3”x4” soft pastel landscape. I always challenge myself to push away from local color and go outside the box. Still have a ways to go but loving the direction this is going.
Layers, layers, upon layers in the landscape. This direction natures those innermost landscapes of hope and love, air, earth, water and fire.
My sista gifted me this beautiful frame made from reclaimed barn wood. I’ve been waiting for the right piece to go inside. I love how the frame colors complement the art. Slowly building this gallery wall has been a fun-filled treasure hunt adv
